Jonathan Ross in hopes of gaining David Bowie’s first interview in a decade
October 5, 2013 by ADMIN

Jonathan Ross has reached out to his friend David Bowie for “a big favor” and offered to fly to New York in a bid to secure an interview with him. Wossy, who chats to Bowie on email regularly, is in negotiations for Bowie’s first TV interview for a decade as part of his new ITV series. He is kick starting his chat show, which starts next weekend, with big names in a bid to show he is still number one over TV rivals Graham Norton and Alan Carr. A source said: “Some people have felt Wossy has been getting a bit pre-occupied and some of the line ups on his chat show in the last year or two have not been good or likely to pull in millions of viewers.

“But he is back on top form now and is pulling in favors and using his contacts to get big names for the next run. “He knows Bowie and would love to get him on the show to talk about his new album and what he has been up to. It is an interview every TV channel wants and Wossy is hoping to pull in a favor to get David on the show. “He will even fly to New York and do it without an audience if that helps to make it happen. The request has been made officially as well as in a personal email and negotiations is ongoing.”

Bowie’s last TV interviews were approximately a decade ago with Ellen DeGeneres, Wossy and Michael Parkinson as he promoted a tour. We can also reveal that Wossy’s new series will also include an exclusive interview with One Direction, which is almost guaranteed to give ratings a boost. He has also been working hard on his Hollywood contacts and Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock will join him on the opening show.
